100% Recycled

100% of the refundable cans and bottles that are returned are recycled. When you return your container, you allow raw material to be re-used, wasting less energy and reducing harmful emissions. You significantly reduce your ecological footprint. By giving new life to your containers, you are contributing to the collective effort to improve our planet’s environment.

Kombucha :
barely 25% of containers returned

Look around and you’ll notice that new drinks from the four corners of the world are being added regularly to the shelves of our grocery and convenience stores. Sparkling flavoured products, fruity beverages, kombucha, spritzers, energy drinks and sodas—you can find a flavour for any taste.

Away from home recovery: a challenge

Currently, 90% of the containers used in residences are recovered. So the vast majority of Quebecers have adopted good recycling habits when they are at home. However, outside their homes, i.e. on transportation, in public areas and at work, only 50% of containers are put back into the deposit system.

Consignaction strongly encourages business owners, managers and employees to install collection bins in work and recreation areas.
